Clash of Kingdoms 1.30 has added several new abilities, as well as improved some of the original ones.
2. Abilities can manifest themselves in several new ways:
a. They can produce bonuses for troops.
b. Various types of fire walls will produce lasting fire damage.
3. We have changed the way you upgrade your abilities.
a. When upgrading abilities, you may use an Ability Scroll, or you can use an Training Scroll along with a required amount of Experience. For instance, when upgrading Lv. 2 Cavalry Commander, you can use a Lv. 2 Cavalry Commander Scroll, as well 100000 Experience.
b. When using an Ability Scroll, there is a chance your hero may fail to learn the ability, however, when using a Training Scroll and Experience, there is a 100% chance of success.
4. Three new Unit stats have been added: “Critical Hit Chance” “Critical Hit Damage” and “Dodge”, these stats, however, will not appear in the in the Unit information menu. Different Unit Types will have varying Critical Hit and Dodge stats. It should also be noted that units can Dodge or produce Critical hits, however, there is no chance to Dodge or produce a Critical Hit while counterattacking.
Details:
1. Enlightenment
a. This ability still gives heroes an experience bonus. All heroes with this ability will receive twice as much experience as before.
b. Enlightenment only works for experience earned through training. Experience earned from Art of War Critique, Martial Strategies, and Inspiration will not receive the effect.
c. Heroes will receive the extra experience when players click the Upgrade button in the Hero menu.
2. Hell's Cavalry
a. This ability allows Cavalry units to attack to attack 5 spaces at once.
b. Ma Chao’s Thunder Strike and Ma Dai’s Cavalry Guardian have both been replaced with this new ability.
c. Both of the Legendary Heroes listed above will be given one chance to “Transform”, allowing players to choose whether to keep the new ability, or replace it with the old one.
d. Ma Dai has been upgraded from a Bronze, to a Silver Legendary Hero
3. Hero's Valor
a. This ability increases a hero’s Attack when troop size is greater than 80% of max troop size. If troop size falls below 80% of max troop size, there is no effect.
b. New Bronze Legendary Hero, Wang Shuang starts with this Ability.
4. Captain's Courage
a. This Ability increases a hero’s Defense when troop size falls below 50% of max size.
b. New Bronze Legendary Hero, Cheng Pu, starts with this Ability.
5. Eagle's Eye
a. When commanding Archers, this ability provides a chance to ignore distance and attack the highest priority target anywhere on the battlefield.
b. New Silver Legendary Hero, Deng AI, starts with this Ability.
6. Hidden Despair
a. When commanding infantry, this Ability provides a chance of creating a trap in a square in front of your troops. If an enemy troop touches the trap, they immediately stop moving and are unable to move in the next round.
b. New Silver Legendary Hero, Zhong Hui, starts with this ability.
7. United Front
a. When attacking enemy troops with Cavalry, there is a chance to attack the opponent together with neighboring troops from your Kingdom together, causing significant damage.
b. New Gold Legendary Hero, Lu Kang, starts with this ability.
