1.30 New Rules for Server Transfers and Merges

1.    What is unification

In Clash of Kingdoms, unification is achieved when one Kingdom conquers every city on a given server. After this, players get to merge their server, or transfer to another server, keep most of their data, and continue to play the game.

2.    What are Server Merges and Transfers?

Server Merge:
After a server is unified, server merges allow you to move your character to an entirely new server, while keeping most of your data.

Server Merge Types:
1.    Single Server Merge: A server merge in which one server is merged into a completely new server.
2.    Multi Server Merge: A server merge in which multiple servers, which have already been unified, merge into one server.

Server Transfer:
After the server has been unified, players can also have the option of transferring to an existing server. Players get to keep their character and most of their data, however, they must meet the Development requirement and can only join a Balanced Server.

The servers available for players to choose will be determined by their Kingdom’s overall development, as well when their server opened.

3.    New Rules for Server Merges and Transfers

Whether players are given an opportunity to Transfer or Merge now depends on their servers Development Range.

What is a Development Range?
A Development Range is the 6 servers that have a start date closest to your server’s. For example, if your server is S23, your Development Range will be the following: S20/S21/S22/S23/S24/S25/S26.

What is a Balanced Server?
1.    A Balanced Server is a server in which there are at least 4 remaining kingdoms, and no one kingdom has over 150 cities.
2.    Servers which have not been open for at least 90 days are not considered balanced.

4.    Terms for Server Merges and Transfers

Server Merge:
Unified servers have to meet one of the terms below in order to have a Server Merge:
1.    There are less than 3 Balanced Servers within the server’s Development Range.
2.    The unified server has gone through 3 Server Transfers (including receiving players transferring from other servers)
3.    There are at least two other servers within said server’s Development Range  that unify within one weeks time. In this case, there will be a multi-server merge.

Tips:
1.    Multi-server merges have priority over single server merges.
2.    After merging, the server IDs will change from S to L. If unification is achieved again, the server will only be able to merge or transfer to other L servers.

Server Transfer:
Unified servers have to meet the term below in order to have a Server Transfer:
There must be three or more Balanced Servers within the said server’s Development Range.

Tips:
1.    Server merges have priority over server transfers.
